Vintage Glass Exide Wireless Accumulator c. These old lead acid batteries were often used in houses without mains electricity. This example is very rare as it is complete and has been refurbished as a decorative item. The electrodes have been given a coat of metallic lacquer and the rest smartened up and reassembled. I used this as a display item at vintage fairs by sitting it on a specially made plinth which illuminates the glass from below.
It is fitted with a remote control colour change led lamp (90v-240v) that also has a strobe function and is decorated with decoupage from vintage radio magazines. This really is a one off item as the battery itself is extremely rare and the lamp unique.
