Mathmos / Crestworth Galaxy Refurbished Original Stand Great Condition

  
This is a beautiful Crestworth Galaxy which has been professionally refurbished and is in full working order with its original stand. The perspex dome is in immaculate condition with a couple of unnoticeable marks (unless you're really examining it) which don't show up in pictures and cannot be seen when in operation.

It still has the rubber gasket joining the dome to its base plate which makes it more stable. There is a small bump on the bottom of the base which isn't very noticeable and when on the stand doesn't make any difference to the lamp and can barely be seen. I always think its best to be completely honest about any little issues with these items as they are 50 years old and so very rarely in truly'perfect' condition.

This this really is a stunning Lamp which you can see in the pictures. The colours it produces are vibrant and beautiful and this model has been converted to use an LED bulb which means the transformer is no longer used which is one less thing that can go wrong and LED bulbs last much longer than halogens so you shouldn't ever need to change it.

It also has a brand new colour wheel motor which is the one thing that usually goes wrong on these as the gears wear out. This Galaxy now only has 1 part which can fail which is the fan motor and as the LED doesn't produce much heat and the unused transformer doesn't need cooling the fan isn't really needed anyway. Local collection from London and surrounding area including Reading and Surrey is preferred as this item is delicate but I will post and it will be very well packaged.
